LeeAnne,

He likely saw your response as he is currently building the list of interested members. Also, if you log into the Groups.io page there should be a directory listed on the left hand side where you can direct message other subscribers. If it doesn't show up for you I can double check the settings. If you aren't already in the Facebook Group for Wamalug and WamaLTC, you can send a join request and one of the moderators will approve it.

LEGO Master Monorail?

Abraham Friedman

Does anybody else find it strange that the central focus of the first episode of the LEGO Master show has a 25+ year old monorail as the main focus? I assume that LEGO had some passing association with this show and they picked monorail. You know, the one theme they said they can’t produce anymore.

In general, I’m not a huge fan of reality shows but as they go this one wasn’t too bad. Some of the contestants were obviously really good LEGO builders. The winners were very good. I was disappointed that the lumberjack roller coaster failed. I think it got screwed up when they had to rush to move it into position.

Kinda awesome watching both the morning and night segments. Wonder if Lego Masters and the news appearances might get Brickfair some boost.

There were two shots but only the first is posted on Fox 5.

If someone catches the second shot online, please post or let me know. There was some really good content on the second part.

Re: LEGO Master Monorail?

Bob Hayes

Abe,

I had the same thoughts about the monorail.

Who knows, maybe it will raise such interest, and questions at Lego stores, that it might come back. Now that Lego owns Bricklink, maybe they will sell monorail parts and track at Bricklink prices - $20-25 per straight peice,

As for the show - Jamie is tough.

Re: LEGO Master Monorail?

Matthew David Taylor <matthew.d.taylor@...>

I was trying to figure out whether the track pieces were new or old gray. Jamie certainly made a big deal about the uniqueness of the motor for something that hasn’t been sold in 30 years.

I’m also shocked they didn’t let the lumberjack team fix adjust their roller coaster since it was working perfectly earlier in the program.

On Boone Langston's personal Facebook feed he has a post you can ask questions under. It does seem like there is more to that coaster story. Especially if something shifted during the move process. In his feed you can also get insight into how long 15 hours is in reality.
